On turning life around

Over the past year, I kid you not, it feels almost as if a part of my brain just switched, one day I woke up and I had this epiphany to turn my life around.
Needless to say, the change happened extremely slowly. I couldn't just go cold turkey and be this absolute best version of myself. Nor did I have to, however I didn't know that at the time.
And I did struggle a great deal.
But I found things that helped me out along the way.
This quote, specifically, still hits home and helps me out in dark days and times.
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit." Aristotles.
Good is learnt. Being good is something you can learn and improve by practice.
No, you are not a bad seed. Everyone on this planet, billions of people made myriads of mistakes, whether maliciously or unintentionally, we all did.
And if a part of you, deep down, believes that is not the version of yourself you like best, through time and devotion, you can shake your nature of being "bad" or "mistaken."
I believe the most important fact we should not take for granted is not taking anything personally. We go with our lives everyday, dealing with miscellaneous problems and stress. Because that's what everyone else does. We all have family issues whether it is a close family or some relative, jealousy, vanity and grudge. We all feel like a failure every now and then. The truth is, behind closed doors, almost everyone feels this way.
I do not mean this in a way that would belittle your existence, because mine matters just as much as anyone elses, probably, and it is pretty important to me.
